The cake was a lie!!

Ummm…yeah, anyways….

To be honest I did not want to go in. It was okay just a bit crowded everywhere.

but if i think about it, there were huge amounts of people. I hate people sometimes, i just want to blend into the crowd fluently and be unseen sometimes.

Everytime I enter the premises I just get in a pissed off mood as I feel restricted and disreguarded.

The quality of the work was okay overall.

I find it hard to deal with some personalities if I dont relate or find them interesting. I cannot stand to be in the same room as others if i have no connection. I feel so self centered sometimes but thats just the way it is!

Nevermind, Guitar Hero:World Tour looks sweet..

My alter ego

Hello,
I havent been posting recently as my computer when BOOM and sadly died. I am currently on another computer updating you all on my situation. I have recieved a conditional offer from LCC, which is great but it is still daunting. I find it hard to believe that they would actually want me on there course, but this is because my self confidence is non-existent after this shit period! hopefully that will change.

So yes- computer dead-lcc yay(sort of). Also the final project has taken a hit because of my silly computer but I am still on track.

Oh, and one last thing. GTA4? Amazing. Simply Outstanding. In my opinion the best story a game has ever had (it reminded me of Pulp Fiction). I recommend anyone to play it who can stomach its violence…. I became addicted to it and completed it fully two days ago.

Time to get work done.

If anyone is interested, my favourite Video Games website has just posted a link to another site that hosts episodes of a brilliantly, awful game show. ‘Starcade’ is not a terrible concept, but it is just littered with atrocious cringe-inducing contestants.

There are some really hilarious parts within the whole t.v series, but if you get sick of that (sick of maybe even the colours or clothing) I have also posted the link to ‘South Park Zone’, which is where you can watch every South Park episode ever released. Enjoy

I have decided to create a list of the games that I would consider the best I have ever played. My first contact with games goes back to the Sega master system, when I was about five years old. My family has a disturbingly addictive nature with a variety of different things so I attached myself to games as soon as I came into contact. I just couldn’t put the controller down!
Next was the Sega Mega Drive. This to me is the best console ever made as it had so many good games. The colours, the graphics and just the look of the games were joyful and nice to look at. It was on this machine where I completed my first game- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Hyperstone Heist. The Sega Mega drive was undoubtedly ahead of its time.

So from Mega drive followed the Pc, the Gameboy, Playstation, Playstation 2, then Xbox, and now the Xbox 360 & Wii.

I was a hard choice narrowing down what I would consider the best games I have ever played but from a total of 38 games I made a top 10.

10) Halo 2 / Xbox

Halo 2 is undoubtedly the best online game for the original Xbox. The easy access to games and playing with your friends to level up made it incredibly addictive to play. The graphics were great and looked really polished, which just added to the sense of it feeling like an actual warzone. Although it was a great game to play online, it was plagued with incredibly annoying ‘trash-talkers’ who would completely ruin the game and shout obscenities directly at you. Also, the ending to the single player is so bad its offensive. Putting all of this aside, Halo 2 is still an amazing game.

9) Silent Hill 2 / Playstation 2

Silent Hill 2 is by far the scariest form of entertainment I have ever encountered. I never dared playing this game on my own in the dark, and I never will!

Running around a deserted town in near pitch-black situations is terrifying, and the sounds and music that is played in the game adds to the tension greatly. In my opinion this is by far the scariest game ever.

8 ) Fifa 08 / Xbox 360

I have never been a huge fan of sports games, but for some reason I always seem pretty good at them. I don’t mean to brag, but once I was third best in Europe on year of the championship manager series, even though I sort of despise the genre. Fifa 08 is just simply a brilliant game. The flowing pace is excellent, even though it is every fast at some points and slow and tactical at others. The graphics are great, the gameplays amazing and it just feels good to play!

7) Timesplitters 2 / Xbox

Monkeys firing Machine Guns. Any other reason needed?? Timesplitters 2 is pure fun. Especially playing virus mode or the Snake mini-game with friends.

6) Worms Armageddon / Pc

Worms Armageddon is extremely tactical and fun. The light hearted action mixed with easily assessable gameplay plus huge depth always intrigued me. The artistic look of the game is great, and it also has a quirky sense of humour.

5) Half Life 2 / Pc

Words cannot describe how brilliant this game is. The world that the player is thrown into is so immersive that it feels alive. The graphics still look great even if it was released in 2004. Put simply this game was ahead of its time, and it’s undoubtedly a classic.

4) Jazz Jackrabbit 2 / Pc

”ya’ll ready for this?!” Mutters the first title screen sound. How awesome is that?! Well Jazz jackrabbit 2 to me represents my childhood. The gameplay is easy and fun, and the graphics are superb. Even though I got this game free with my Windows 95 computer, it is still flawless in my eyes.

3) Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 / Playstation

One of the most violent games I have ever played, Ultimate Mortal Komat is by far my all time favourite fighting game. The graphics were so tacky it was awesome, using live action characters to simulate each fight. The gameplay was deep but also assessable for beginners, which kept it balanced.

2) Forgotten Hope / Pc

Forgotten hope is actually not a game itself, but a mod. A free battlefield 1942 add-on expansion, it improved on the realism that was missing from 1942 and made it fun and strategic. The combat is extremely satisfying, and although it requires a decent Pc to fully appreciate, It is easily one of the best games I have ever played.

1) Age of Empires 2 / Pc

What can I say? I was never great at Age Of Empires. I always wanted to be great at it, but I still appreciated what it was. This was more than just a game; it was a piece of art. The look and design of the game is still in my opinion awesome. Probably just as if not more tactical than Worms Armageddon, This is an amazing game that deserves to be number 1 on this list.

Other games I would consider ‘classic’:
Tomb Raider
Half Life
Alien Versus Predator 2
Counter Strike
Big Red Racing
Crash Team Racing
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Fifa 06
Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot 2
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
Dead Rising
Garry’s Mod
Starcraft
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid 2
Grand Theft Auto 3
Tekken 2
Discworld 2
Halo: Combat Evolved
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil: Nemesis
Star Wars: A New Hope
Unreal Tournament
Donkey Kong Country
Spiderman
Tomb Raider 2
Battlefield 1942

So, Ucas. What a piece of fucking dogshit! I cannot stand websites where I have to fill huge amounts of information out and that is way too overcomplicated!

But yeah I finally finished my Route B application, and the courses I am applying to are Graphic Design in Communication at LCC, Graphic Design at Chelsea and Illustration at Camberwell.
Am I confident? Fuck no! I haven’t seen any confidence with any piece of work that I have completed recently. This is mainly because of the abysmal support I have received from ‘Teachers’ or ‘Tutors’ at Camberwell. It has just been a joke, and honestly this whole course is a joke in my opinion. Maybe I should of stuck with Photography? Who knows. It has just been a complete let down all because of the ridiculous non-constructive feedback that I have received.

I went to a St Martins portfolio review for my second compact application last month. The building is very nice looking, the facilities are not great but its just seems a nice course.

My confidence is non-existent with this whole thing right now, mainly because of the poor feedback I have received and the endless shit spewing out everywhere. I have no idea what is next for me. Big Issue anyone?

Fuck it lets go play Forgotten hope. What a coincidence.

Friday was my first portfolio review in my application for the BA Illustration course at Camberwell. It was a compact application, which basically means it is an early advantage to take a place on a university of the arts degree course before the route B applications begin. I found it a sickening, nerve racking experience, as I didn’t expect to have an interview, and I was told on the morning of it that there were going to be if they were uncertain of if they wanted you in or not. I was absolutely terrified during the wait and when the list went up I looked and… no Robbie on the list. Half the class had interviews, the others didn’t.
This means either they want you or not. To have an interview means they are not sure on something.
Do I think I will get in? Probably not. Maybe its because I have no confidence in myself, but I see the other students that surround me and at times I question the quality of my work. I will find out tomorrow so whatever happens does for a reason.

Recently I have been playing a lot of ‘AudioSurf’. If you haven’t checked it out, I advise you do. Basically it’s a mixture of Guitar Hero, Rez, and Wipeout. It really is an amazing experience to race your favourite music.

One last thing, I stumbled upon a video of one of my favourite games ever – Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style. Words cannot describe the awesome-ness of this Playstation one game.

You know when something is so bad its so good?? Yep.
