Photography from New York! I’m fairly pleased with these images, they aren’t typically what I produce whilst taking pictures but I feel its interesting!

Overall I’m pretty pleased with how the images turned out.  I feel that the experimentation was good in location and style as there is an ongoing differentiation throughout the images.

I set the contrast to high on my camera to get that vibrant look, which is what I am most pleased about in these images.

So I hope you will be able to let me know what you think of the images I took, thanks for viewing them and sorry it took a while for them to be posted!

(30th Blog posted at Robbiesblog.wordpress.com :) )

I have been thinking about whether or not I should post my final piece, but If I am honest I am not sure If I am proud of it. The quality is okay, but the development shown in the sketch book is what I feel is the most effective part.

But whatever, heres the final piece…
My omnium-gatherum

Overall I passed the course, Which is good but it also frustrates me as personally I feel I deserved more than just a pass. I believe that because I critisized the teaching methods of my tutors that they took that into consideration when marking my final piece.

My time in Camberwell is over, and I am pleased that it has ended. I am pretty certain I would not recommend anyone going to Camberwell unless-

-You want poor unorganised teaching
-You want continuous criticism that is absolutely non-constructive
-You want to be taught by teachers who secretly have no artistic qualifications.
-You want to pay for absolutely everything you need and don’t need, and you want to be supplied absolutely nothing by the college.

I am excited to start working at LCC, which as we all know is a shit hole similar to Camberwell, but the course seems good and inviting. We shall see.

The following are some Images I took with Matthew recently. The quality of the work is okay, but my favourite image is at the end. The project theme was ‘Truth’ so I decided to try and use text to bring out a side of photography I had not attempted before. This work was influenced by David Schrigley.

First off, these are a few images I took when I recently went on a trip with my family to the millennium wheel. It felt odd picking up a camera after such a long time, but I had missed using one and was reasonably pleased with my ‘touristy’ looking shots.

Now these other images I just wanted to share as I haven’t in the past. They were just images I took while I was in various different places and situations. The image below for example, is a close up of an art shop display. I am always intrigued by reflection and how its distorts our surroundings in a weird but beautiful way….

This was an image I also stumbled upon recently, which was shot with Hannah taking pictures at Speakers Corner. There is no shortage of crazy people In that area, which good for getting portrait work that has more of a gritty expression in comparison to the usual commuters you encounter. This guy also had some awesome white leather jeans on – I wish you could of seen them.

So that’s all for today. Be sure to check back on other days, as I am definitely going to be uploading more photography and work in the future. Plus some pointless typing along the way.

**Update** Sorry for how small the images are, Click on the images to enlarge them in a separate window or tab if you wish.
